It is said people are the product of their environment. Limitations and/or opportunities are often created from the people and resources we surround ourselves with. Therefore, who we spend our time with and what we choose to do with that time matters. To live an impactful life, it is important to surround yourself with an effective team. Your team should include:
· A Cheerleader who encourages you in both good times and bad and truly wants the best outcome for you
· A Mentor modeling the behaviors, habits, and experience you aspire to and allow you to learn from their success and failure
· A Visionary helping you see a bigger picture for your life and your situation– they know your strengths and believe you are capable of things you may not believe for yourself yet
· A Sounding board who can listen to all your thoughts and ideas and help you pick through them to discern which ideas have merit and can be developed
Consider who you spend most of your time with. Do those people build you up or tear you down? Do you have a cheerleader, mentor, visionary, and a sounding board around you? If not, it may be time to get some new people!
God intends to use us for great things in His kingdom. But so often we doubt His ability in us, we believe the ‘stinking thinking’ of others, or we just don’t know where to start. When we allow God to put the right people in our lives at the right moment, the possibilities are endless!
But here’s the thing – we don’t have to do big things to live an impactful life, we only need the courage to show up and the willingness to believe He can use us. Our team helps us see past our own limits and see the limitlessness of God!
Be blessed!
