Have you ever noticed that when one bad thing happens, it’s usually followed by a few others? Some people feel they’ve fallen into a temporary streak of bad luck, while others tend to camp in their misfortune claiming that they’re just cursed!
Have you ever considered that it’s not that way at all? Perhaps the enemy is just taking advantage of an opportunity. He loves to whisper lies to us making us believe what simply isn’t true:
You always mess things up…
You’re not smart enough to figure this out…
Nothing will ever change for you…
But God reminds us that the reality is actually very different:
You made a mistake, but you fixed it…
You didn’t know how at first, but you learned how to do it…
This is temporary and you’ll be given another chance…
Even in our mistakes, we have the power to choose which thoughts we embrace, and which thoughts we will reject. Every time we slide into stinkin’ thinkin’ we have to ask ourselves – would God say that about me?
Your mistakes do not define you
You can learn to make different choices
Your past does not define your future
The enemy will not miss an opportunity to kick us when we’re down and tell us lies, but God speaks truth about WHO we are and doesn’t just focus on WHAT we’ve done. We get to choose who we are listening to…
